Well. Not much to say. I'm and Engineer working as an expat in China. I left most of my hobbies back in the United States when I brought my wife and son here.
When we got to China, we found that we had a limited amount of things to do, as speaking the language proved a little difficult at first. So, we all picked up photography as a family and haven't looked back since.
My kid has a Nikon L15 that he carries around with him everywhere (he's 5), and I pack a Nikon D300, while my wife packs a Nikon D80.
So here we are in China...
Taking pictures of everything like a bunch of lost tourists.
And, since the foreigner population is small here, it definitely gets us the "stares" as we walk past everyone... But it's brought the family closer together, so it's definitely worth it.
It's still fun to hear... "Look! Foreigners! What are taking pictures of?" <<< Of course it is all in Chinese and they don't think we know what they are saying.
It makes for some great startled looks when you answer their question. :)
Well... back to work. I can't believe my friend Willie talked me in to doing this...
